Our Partnership with Taiwan

The Digital Quarantine system created in Taiwan made it virtually the only country in the world to avoid a COVID19 outbreak. Our work began in mid-2020, when a dialogue was initiated with the MacKay Memorial Hospital in Taipei, seeking to develop a system that would work in Ontario. We identified a critical issue: the need for community-led testing and a platform to allow responsible non-medical professionals to conduct COVID19 testing in our province.
